In 1983 Joyce Jue's Culinary Tours of the Orient was established, providing cooking and dining experiences of Asia. Its success attracted the attention of renowned Bangkok Oriental Hotel, and in 1986 Joyce was invited to be one of the founders of the hotel's prestigious The Thai Cooking School.

San Francisco’s Chinatown

Born and raised in San Francisco’s Chinatown, Joyce takes you to a community steeped in a 5000-year old culture. A time-warp, it is a city within a city, connecting with ancient China and the fascinating history behind Buddhist temples, joss shops, fortune cookie factories, fresh produce vendors, and sitting down to a fine tea tasting and dim sum lunch.
